Camila Cabello Reacts To Allegations Of Imitating Charli XCX With I Luv It

Charli XCX seems to have playfully teased the resemblances between ‘I Luv It’ and her track ‘I Got It’ online.

Addressing the accusations of copying Charli XCX with her latest track ‘I Luv It’, Camila Cabello has responded and Charli has also chimed in.

Back in February of this year, Camila Cabello unveiled a fresh new blond appearance and began hinting at her upcoming single ‘I Luv It’. Departing from her usual style, the song seems to be deeply influenced by hyperpop, prompting many to draw parallels between it and Charli XCX’s music. Some fans have gone as far as accusing Camila of emulating Charli.

Camila has now joined the conversation and curtly dismissed those trying to fuel a rivalry between her and Charli.

Regarding Charli’s stance, her feelings about the comparisons remain uncertain. In March, Charli seemingly mocked Camila by mimicking a video of her dancing to ‘I Luv It’ in a car while dancing to her own track ‘I Got It’ instead. Nevertheless, Camila retweeted Charli’s video.

Charli also reacted to Camila’s recent statements with a tweet that said: “i luv it i luv it i luv it i luv it!”

Interestingly, Camila and Charli have collaborated on multiple occasions in the past. Charli was involved in co-writing Camila’s 2018 single ‘Oh My God’ and the hit song ‘Señorita’ with Shawn Mendes. They also both joined Taylor Swift on her Reputation Stadium Tour and performed ‘Shake It Off’ together with Taylor every night.

What’s your opinion? Does ‘I Luv It’ give off Charli vibes?
