Universal Studios Unveils New Jurassic Park Film Featuring Original Plot

David Koepp Selected to Write Script for the New Phase of the ‘Jurassic World Series

Universal Studios is excited to declare the progression of a fresh addition in the immensely triumphant “Jurassic World” series. Esteemed screenwriter David Koepp, recognized for adapting the original “Jurassic World” (1993) and its follow-up “The Lost World: Jurassic Park” (1997) from Michael Crichton’s bestselling novels, is appointed to craft the screenplay. This venture heralds the commencement of a completely new storyline, initiating a modern epoch for the cherished series.

While details about the upcoming film are shrouded in secrecy, it remains uncertain whether popular actors, such as Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum, will reappear for this thrilling installment. “Jurassic” mainstay Frank Marshall is making a comeback to oversee, accompanied by his habitual producing partner Patrick Crowley. Steven Spielberg, executive producer through his company Amblin Entertainment, contributes his signature touch to the project. Currently, no director has been linked to the endeavor.

The “Jurassic” films remain one of Universal’s most profitable series, extending beyond the silver screen into theme parks and merchandise licensing. With a global box office revenue of $6 billion (not adjusted for inflation), the series has steadfastly captivated audiences worldwide. The latest release, “Jurassic World Dominion” (2022), surpassed $1 billion globally, culminating with a gripping scenario where dinosaurs coexist with humanity in their natural habitat.

David Koepp, a seasoned screenwriter with over three decades of experience, has left an enduring impact on the film industry. His notable works encompass the initial installments in the “Mission: Impossible” and “Spider-Man” franchises, as well as films like “Death Becomes Her” (1992), “Panic Room” (2002), and “War of the Worlds” (2005). His most recent creation, the supernatural tale “Presence” with director Steven Soderbergh, recently premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.
