Update on Ozzy Osbourne Following Surgery
Announced online by Sharon Osbourne last week, the legendary Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne underwent a significant surgical intervention. While not disclosing the exact nature of the surgery, Sharon mentioned that it would have a lasting impact on his future.
Having his surgery on Monday, Ozzy spent two days in the hospital before returning home on Wednesday. On that day, Ozzy took to Twitter from his home to reassure fans about his condition. “I have now returned home from the hospital and am recovering comfortably,” Ozzy shared. “I am truly feeling the affection and support from all my supporters, and I extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone for their well-wishes, prayers, and thoughts during my healing process.”
Sharon also expressed her gratitude on her personal Twitter account. “Our family is immensely grateful for the incredible outpouring of love and support ahead of Ozzy’s surgery!” she tweeted. “Ozzy is doing well and is progressing towards recovery!”
“Your adoration means the universe to him.”

Being 73 years old, Ozzy’s frail health is no secret. Even prior to this recent procedure, he has faced a number of health setbacks and surgeries in the past, such as hand surgery in 2018, a serious respiratory infection and neck surgery in 2019, and a battle with COVID-19 in April of this year. Additionally, he disclosed in 2020 that he had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease dating back to 2003.
