Twitter Unveils ‘Circle’ Feature for Exclusive Tweets
Exclusive tweets are only visible to designated users.
Twitter might be engaged in a significant financial transaction with Elon Musk, but they are actively progressing with the creation and integration of novel functionalities. Despite the absence of an edit button as of yet, they have developed a method to restrict the audience for your tweets without making your entire account private.

Recently unveiled by Twitter, the latest feature called Circle enables you to craft tweets visible exclusively to chosen individuals. Each time you compose a new tweet, you will have the opportunity to designate up to 150 users who can view the tweet. The rest of the audience remains unaware of the concealed tweet; it is exclusively for selected individuals. Members within the Circle cannot retweet the special tweet, nor can they discern who else has access to it.
Certain Tweets cater to a wider audience, while others are solely intended for your hand-picked contacts.

This new functionality has drawn parallels to Facebook’s Select Audience feature and Instagram’s Close Friends feature. It is currently undergoing testing, limiting users to the creation of a single Circle at a time. This implies that for each tweet, you cannot individually select who can view it; instead, you can establish a group with general viewing privileges. Furthermore, if someone adds you to a Circle, you cannot remove yourself from it, although you retain the ability to mute their tweet threads if you prefer not to participate.
