A tad more than a month in the past, the contemporary football icon Tom Brady dropped a bombshell when he officially announced his retirement from the NFL. A grand farewell was given to him, and the management of his former team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, explicitly mentioned that the door would remain wide open if he ever thought of a return. Surprisingly, that door has now been graced by Brady once again.

The news of Tom Brady’s return to the Buccaneers for the upcoming season as their quarterback broke last night through his social media profiles, marking a swift end to his “retirement” that barely lasted for about 40 days.

“Through these recent months, it has become evident that my true place is on the field and not in the spectator stands,” Brady penned. “The day for that transition will arrive eventually. But for now, I hold immense affection for my teammates and a supportive family. They make it all worthwhile. I’m geared up for my 23rd season in Tampa.”

“[Head coach Bruce Arians] and I shared numerous talks with Tom recently, indicating a strong possibility of his come-back,” expressed Buccaneers’ general manager Jason Licht in a formal statement. “Tom remains the unrivaled quarterback of all time, showcasing an unparalleled level of proficiency in his game. Now that the decision has been made, we are all set to proceed with our off-season strategies to fortify this squad for yet another shot at the championship.”
