This Is How Pete Davidson Helped Alec Baldwin Shed 100 Pounds
You may be surprised to discover that Pete Davidson played a pivotal role in Alec Baldwin’s fitness journey.
During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Davidson shared the story of how Baldwin’s transformation took place. It turns out that Baldwin approached him, and Davidson spun a tall tale.
“I was on set while Alec was hosting for a sketch where I needed to be shirtless. You know, I guess I’m a bit fit or whatever… there’s no other way to put it,” joked the 27-year-old. “So, he came over and asked me, ‘What do you do to stay in shape?’ I didn’t want to be rude and say, ‘I just still have a fast metabolism. I’m not in my mid-50s. I just wake up looking like this.’ To make him feel better, I told him, ‘Oh man, I do 100 push-ups and 100 sit-ups every day.’ And he was like, ‘Got it.’
Baldwin, 63, who has hosted SNL seventeen times from 1990 to 2017, began interacting with Davidson frequently while he portrayed former President Donald Trump on the show.
“I would see him weekly. And every time I’d bump into him in the hallway, he’d say, ‘100 a day!'” Davidson recounted. “He actually started doing it and ended up losing around 100 pounds. He claims it’s all thanks to me.”
Baldwin confirmed this account on The Howard Stern Show two years back.
“Pete Davidson told me, ‘Do 100 push-ups a day, every day,'” Baldwin shared with the radio host. “And I’ve been doing it now; I do even more—around 125 to 150. You build up.”
