Season Three of HBO’s The White Lotus to Feature a Star-Studded Cast

The highly awaited third season of HBO’s well-received drama series, The White Lotus, is all set to welcome a remarkable ensemble cast. It was announced on X (previously Twitter) on January 9th that Carrie Coon, an Emmy-nominated actress recognized for her portrayal as Proxima Midnight in the Avengers movies, will be part of the stellar lineup.

Expressing her enthusiasm on Instagram, Carrie Coon praised the show’s creator Mike White and paid tribute to the previous HBO series, Enlightened, saying, “Long live Enlightened!!!”

The 42-year-old actress, known for her appearances in HBO’s The Leftovers and currently leading in The Gilded Age, will be joining Leslie Bibb (Iron Man), Jason Isaacs (Harry Potter), Parker Posey, Dom Hetrakul, Michelle Monaghan, and Tayme Thapthimthong in the upcoming season. Natasha Rothwell, who made an impression in season one, is also set to make a comeback.

Filming for the third season is set to kick off in Thailand in February, staying true to the series’ tradition of capturing the essence of its tropical settings. The significance of filming on location was emphasized by Jennifer Coolidge, a veteran of The White Lotus, who highlighted the vulnerability felt while on a boat with unsupportive companions.

Mike White, the show’s creator, provided insights into the upcoming season, assuring a fresh mystery while preserving connections to previous installments. Discussing the potential for an all-star season in the future, White remarked, “If the show goes on for a couple of seasons, it would be fun to have an all-star season.”

While details about Natasha Rothwell’s return as spa manager Belinda from season one remain undisclosed, Jennifer Coolidge hinted that Mike White must have exciting plans for the character.
