Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Unveil Release Date

Earlier today, The Pokemon Company revealed a brief new preview for the upcoming installment in the primary Pokemon video game series called Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Initially announced in February, the game provided glimpses of gameplay and confirmed a scheduled launch in 2022. Recently, it was officially announced that they have kept their word.

The latest preview disclosed that Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are set to debut on November 18, 2022, just in time for the festive shopping period. Anticipated to be another impressive hit for the Nintendo Switch this year, particularly if it can be coupled with Switch console purchases.

What other insights did the new preview offer? It showed snippets of gameplay featuring the three new initial Pokemon, alongside scenes of the player traversing the novel locale to capture both new and familiar Pokemon and engage in Pokemon battles. The upcoming game appears to emphasize multiplayer capabilities more, enabling multiple participants to engage in the game concurrently and explore together. Additionally, a peek at the novel mascot legendary creatures, Koraidon and Miraidon, as well as, to everyone’s surprise, the version-specific Pokemon Professors.
