Pete Davidson Confronts YouTuber Jake Paul Over Sexual Assault Allegations
During the weekend, YouTuber Jake Paul engaged in an MMA bout against fighter Ben Askren at a Triller pay-per-view event in Atlanta. The event was hosted by SNL’s Pete Davidson, who had the opportunity to interview each contestant prior to the match. You can bet he seized that chance to confront Paul about his recent sexual assault accusations, brought to light by TikTok influencer Justine Paradise. Allegedly, he coerced her into oral sex in 2019 without obtaining her consent beforehand. Paul has refuted these claims.
“You remind me of Charlie Sheen when he went on his ‘winning’ rampage,” Pete remarked to Jake in the locker room before the match. When Pete mentioned the accusations, Jake responded, “You can’t joke around about that.” Pete insisted he wasn’t joking, and tension escalated. He then inquired about Jake’s favorite color and other trivial matters. It was an odd interview from beginning to end, and that’s when the other fighter, Ben Askren, interjected.
“What is it about Jake Paul that you dislike?” Ben asked Pete. “Well, I mean, do you have an hour?” Pete replied. “I mean, he’s not a good individual. He’s clearly a negative influence on youth culture. He has a whole following, so he thinks he can behave however he pleases? Didn’t he get caught by the authorities with like AKs and machine guns? Why isn’t he incarcerated? That’s the message we need to convey to the kids — that [Jake Paul] is not a good person.” Thus far, Jake Paul has not responded to any of Pete’s comments, but he did also emerge victorious in that match.
