A jeweler from West Hollywood has filed a lawsuit against Nikki, alleging that she damaged borrowed jewelry— a common practice in celebrity circles. The jeweler contends that some of the pieces were returned in a damaged condition, which is highly unusual.
Documentation reveals that Nikki’s stylist, Brett Alan Nelson, signed a contract with the Roseark jewelry store. The agreement specified that the store would lend jewelry to Nikki for a public event. The contract stipulated that Brett was responsible for returning the borrowed items within a week and for any damages that occurred while in his possession.
Roseark claims that Brett did not return 66 pieces of jewelry by the agreed deadline. Upon finally receiving the jewelry, the store discovered visible damage on a pair of earrings and a leaf ring.

A close associate of Nikki informed TMZ that all borrowed jewelry was returned on time as promised. The source claimed that the jeweler only raised concerns about a missing stone after holding the items for an extensive period.
In an effort to address the issue, Roseark asserts that they sent invoices to Brett for the damages, totaling $26,239.50, along with interest. Despite their persistent attempts, the store declares that they have not received payment.
Therefore, Roseark has opted to sue both Nikki and her stylist for compensation. It is important to note that Nikki did not have direct dealings with the jeweler herself.
In response to the lawsuit, Nikki’s lawyer, Jordan Siev, firmly stated, “We have not been presented with any evidence that Nikki damaged any of the jewelry in question. This lawsuit seems to be a typical insurance claim by the jeweler aimed at gaining publicity and obtaining a payment it is not entitled to. We will vigorously defend against this lawsuit.”
As the legal proceedings progress, the outcome of this case will reveal the extent of Nikki Minaj’s involvement and the validity of the accusations against her. For now, the rapper maintains her stance on denying any responsibility for the alleged damages, with her legal team ready to counter the allegations.
