Netflix Scraps Second Season of ‘Inside Job’
A decision to give the green light to the season was retracted by the platform.
Within Netflix’s Inside Job, an animated comedy series illustrating a group of workers within a company covertly managing the entire globe. The second section of the inaugural season rolled out in November to applause, securing a place among Netflix’s top ten programs the week of its debut. Nevertheless, despite the series’ favorable reception and dedicated followers, it appears that it fell victim to Netflix’s decision to discontinue it.

Shion Takeuchi, the mind behind Inside Job, revealed on Twitter during the weekend the cancellation of the series’ second season by Netflix. “It is with a heavy heart that I confirm Netflix’s decision to halt the production of season 2 of Inside Job. Over time, these characters have grown to be individuals in my eyes, and I am shattered at not being there to witness their progression. Reagan and Brett were deserving of a conclusion, to find solace. It’s disappointing not to have had the chance to share their future plots with you all.”

Interestingly, rather than an outright cancellation, this event signifies a reversal of a former decision. Back in June 2022, Netflix declared the renewal of the series for its upcoming season 2. Netflix has refrained from providing an explanation for this reversal, yet fans have been vocal in seeking clarifications on Twitter.
