Kylie Jenner Faces Criticism for GoFundMe Contribution
Recently, the personal makeup artist of Kylie Jenner, Samuel Rauda, suffered severe injuries in an accident that necessitated surgery. To show her support, Jenner boosted a GoFundMe page initiated by Rauda’s family with a $120,000 target to cover his medical expenses.
“May God watch over you and protect you @makeupbysamuel everyone take a moment to say a prayer for Sam who got into an accident this past weekend. And swipe up to visit his families go fund me,” Jenner wrote in a now-deleted Instagram post.
The issue at hand here is that while Jenner’s gesture is commendable, she possesses a net worth exceeding $700 million. She could effortlessly cover the entire amount and likely recoup it promptly. In fact, based on my calculations, she could cover that sum five thousand times over and still have surplus cash at her disposal. This is why numerous Twitter users found it perplexing that she only contributed $5,000 to the fundraiser, let alone promoting the campaign instead of solely footing the bill herself.
Subsequently, following her post, Jenner began trending on Twitter as users criticized her for her debatable financial choices, particularly at a time when numerous individuals are experiencing significant financial difficulties.
There’s absolutely nothing to defend her for. She should pay the bill & stop asking for money to people who are probably broke after 1 year living on unemployment.

Kylie Jenner makes almost half a million dollars everyday and she is still asking her relatively poor fans to pay for her friends $60,000 medical bills? Eat the rich. pic.twitter.com/mxUzRsmgEn

It’s not even about the fact that she won’t pay for the surgery herself. Every single last one of Kylie Jenner’s sisters is a millionaire. Her parents are millionaires. Her friends are millionaires. But she asked the MIDDLE CLASS for money. This family…… pic.twitter.com/zFqeeBvuY3

Despite Jenner’s controversial decisions, the GoFundMe campaign received significant support. As of now, the campaign has amassed $99,344 from just 321 donors.
