Jonathan Majors dropped by Hollywood reps after domestic violence charges

Jonathan Majors, the rising Hollywood star who starred in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and Creed III, has reportedly been dropped by his management company, Entertainment 360, and his public relations firm, the Lede Company, following issues surrounding his behavior.

The drop comes after the actor was arrested on March 25 in New York City on charges of assault and harassment over an alleged domestic dispute with a 30-year-old woman, believed to be his partner. The alleged victim was taken to the hospital with minor injuries to her head and neck, and the Manhattan district attorney’s office is reportedly still investigating the incident.

In addition to losing his representation, Majors is no longer involved in new projects, including an Otis Redding biopic. He was expected to attend the Met Gala as a representative of the fashion house Valentino. Still, the brand announced that he would no longer be in attendance after he mutually agreed to skip the event.

Majors’ lawyer, Priya Chaudhry, released a statement on March 27, asserting the actor’s innocence, stating that he was “probably the victim of an altercation with a woman he knows.” She further stated that they are “quickly gathering and presenting evidence to the District Attorney with the expectation that all charges will be dropped imminently.”

Despite the controversy surrounding the actor, there have yet to be any internal discussions at Marvel about parting ways with Majors, who has already wrapped shooting the second season of Loki, in which he reprises his villainous role of Kang the Conqueror from Ant-Man.

The year began on a high note for Majors, with him presenting at the Oscars after starring in two number-one box office movies in a row, Ant-Man and The Wasp and Creed III. He was also receiving early Oscar buzz for his performance as a bodybuilder in the forthcoming Searchlight film Magazine Dreams. However, his career has taken a hit due to the ongoing investigation and the decision of his management and PR firms to drop him as a client.
