Jimmy Kimmel Selected as Master of Ceremonies for the 2023 Oscars
This marks Kimmel’s third stint in this hosting role.
The 95th edition of the prestigious Academy Awards, popularly known as the Oscars, is scheduled for March 12, 2023. In recent months, there has been speculation about which renowned figure from Hollywood’s array of personalities would be designated as the host for this year’s ceremony. The Academy announced this week that the hosting duties would once again be entrusted to comedian and late-night presenter Jimmy Kimmel, making it his third appearance as the Oscars host.

“Obtaining the invite to host the Oscars for the third occasion is either a distinct honor or a potential snare,” Kimmel quipped in a separate statement. “Regardless, I am appreciative of the Academy for extending the invitation promptly after all the A-listers had declined.”
