Jim Cramer Diagnosed with COVID-19
Renowned investor and host of CNBC’s Mad Money, Jim Cramer, revealed today that he and his spouse have tested positive for the coronavirus and are now in self-isolation at their residence.
During an appearance on CNBC‘s “Squawk Box,” Cramer disclosed, “I have contracted COVID. It hit me on Thursday evening. I am aware of the source as I attended an event that mandated PCR testing.”
He further added, “I contracted it from an individual who got tested on the same day. The rapid transmission of the virus is staggering. It’s unstoppable once it takes hold.”
Cramer has received full vaccination with two doses of the Moderna vaccine along with a booster shot. He credited these vaccinations for his mild symptoms. His wife, who received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine followed by a Moderna booster, is facing slightly more intense symptoms.
Encouraging others, Cramer stated, “Getting vaccinated can significantly reduce the severity of the illness. I’ve never had a cold as mild as this before.”
Expressing his empathy, Cramer mentioned, “My heart goes out to those battling sickness, especially to the families who have lost loved ones. I suspect it’s the omicron variant. Thankfully, my vaccination has shielded me from severe impact.”

Discussing his expertise, the financial markets, Cramer expressed optimism despite the challenges posed by the Omicron variant. He suggested, “The prevailing pessimism could present an opportunity. Amid the panic, it might be wise to consider a contrarian approach. I prefer to buy during periods of panic rather than sell.”
