Initial Responses to ‘Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’ Emerge on the Web
Almost all fresh additions to the Marvel Cinematic Universe are usually greeted with immense admiration, which doesn’t come as a surprise considering the widespread adoration for superhero films, great actors, and dazzling special effects. The upcoming Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is poised to deviate slightly from the typical MCU pattern by focusing more on fight choreography and featuring Simu Liu as the franchise’s first Asian lead. While one might be concerned about this alteration affecting the film’s viewership, those worries seem to be baseless.
On Twitter, film critics who have had early access to screenings of Shang-Chi have started sharing their thoughts, and it appears that Marvel has once again delivered a remarkable production.
“Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings is SIMPLY ASTONISHING,” tweets film critic Wendy Lee Szany. “Prepare to be amazed. Each fight scene and action sequence surpasses the previous one. @SimuLiu fully embodies the role of a Marvel superhero. Stunning visuals. Incredible soundtrack. You won’t want to miss this on the big screen.”
“#ShangChi is a resounding success, unexpectedly profound and emotionally intricate, with some of the best action in the MCU,” remarks entertainment writer Drew Taylor. “@SimuLiu is the new Avenger you’ll adore, and the movie’s diverse influences (ranging from Jackie Chan to Hayao Miyazaki) pay off tremendously. Astounding.”
#ShangChi is stunning. This film excels in all the areas where Marvel thrives (such as pacing, humor, character) and introduces action sequences like never before seen in the MCU! ????

“Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings rightfully claims the title of the finest superhero film of 2021 thus far,” states critic and We Live Entertainment founder Scott Menzel. “The action sequences are absolutely breathtaking, particularly the train & skyscraper scene. The best martial arts display I’ve seen in a while. Simu Liu & Awkwafina are exceptional.”
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is scheduled to debut in theaters on September 3, 2021.
