By blending captivating melodies with an unconventional release strategy, Taylor Swift’s record “Folklore” made an impactful debut on the music charts in July. Since then, “Folklore” has evolved into a pivotal project for Swift, inspiring a full-fledged documentary chronicling its origins and the dedication Swift poured into it. Naturally, her intimate companions and allies, Aaron Dessner and Jack Antonoff, played a significant role in bringing the album to fruition, so it’s fitting that they will share the spotlight at the upcoming Grammy Awards.

This weekend, the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards are poised to be broadcast (observing social distancing guidelines, of course), with Swift competing in six categories, including Album of the Year. Swift is slated to grace the stage during the ceremony, and last night, she unveiled that Dessner and Antonoff will be by her side.

“The one detail I can divulge about my Grammy performance that isn’t veiled in confidentiality is that my Grammy performance will feature my collaborators, Aaron Dessner and Jack Antonoff,” shared Swift in her announcement.

“It’s truly exhilarating because this journey has been one that we three embarked on from the very start of the quarantine and lockdown period,” she elaborated. “And, you know, we’ve only shared the same physical space once. So, reuniting with them like this is truly amazing.”

Prior to the performance, Swift, Dessner, and Antonoff have been isolating together in the same residence and undergoing daily COVID-19 testing. “It’s immensely thrilling to create music with your collaborators,” Swift expressed. “It’s an experience that I will never, ever take for granted again.
