Exciting News: Terry Silver Set to Make a Comeback in Season Four of ‘Cobra Kai’
Amongst the original Karate Kid series, the third installment garners the least favor. It recycled numerous elements from its predecessors, like a romance subplot that led nowhere and a strangely inept Daniel LaRusso, given his past ordeals. Nonetheless, amidst all that, there’s a consensus among critics that one aspect of that movie shines brightly: the portrayal of Terrence “Terry” Silver by Thomas Ian Griffith. After 32 years, it seems time to reignite the flames once more.
A new teaser trailer for the fourth season of Cobra Kai, the follow-up to the Karate Kid series, has been unveiled on the official Netflix YouTube channel. The teaser includes a foreboding silhouette of Griffith embodying the character of Terry Silver, accompanied by an equally ominous voiceover.
“In a battle, he who can’t stand, can’t compete. In a struggle, he who can’t breathe, can’t compete. In combat, he who can’t see, can’t compete. Unusual circumstances demand drastic actions.”
Fans have clamored for Terry Silver’s return ever since the reintroduction of John Kreese, portrayed by Martin Kove, to the series. Griffith had retired from acting in 2007, making his appearance on the show appear improbable. However, it seems the producers of Cobra Kai managed to persuade him to stage a final showdown.

“From the inception of the series, we’ve been meticulously planning the ideal moment to reintroduce Terry Silver, co-founder of the Cobra Kai dojo, back into the fold. That moment has arrived. We’re eagerly anticipating the grand return of Thomas Ian Griffith to the franchise,” expressed executive producers and writers Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz, and Hayden Schlossberg.
