Exciting News: Deadpool Set to Enter the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Next Movie
Over the years, the X-Men movies, which included the fan-favorite Deadpool, existed within their own distinct universe that was separate from the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe due to Fox’s ownership of the X-Men properties. However, with Disney’s acquisition of Fox, fans have eagerly awaited Deadpool’s integration into the MCU. And it seems that time is drawing near.
In an interview with Collider focusing on Disney+’s WandaVision, Kevin Feige, the head of Marvel Studios, hinted at Deadpool’s future in the MCU. He revealed that the upcoming Deadpool film will indeed be a part of the main Marvel Cinematic Universe, reassuring fans that the characteristic R-rated edge of the series will be maintained.
Feige elaborated, “We are currently developing a script for an R-rated Deadpool 3, and Ryan is actively overseeing the script. While production won’t commence this year, Ryan is occupied with various commitments. We have a slate of projects to address first, but the progress on Deadpool is certainly exciting. Bringing a character like Deadpool into the MCU adds a unique dynamic, and Ryan’s portrayal is truly remarkable.”
I have a confession to make: I screened Spiderman 1 & 2 and presented them as Deadpool 1 & 2. #Deadpool3 https://t.co/N0IGDbpBK0

Led by Lizzie Molyneux-Loeglin and Wendy Molyneux, writers from Fox’s Bob’s Burgers, the script development for Deadpool 3 is underway with guidance from Reynolds. Due to various factors including the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and Reynolds’ busy schedule, filming is not anticipated to start until 2022, suggesting that Deadpool’s crossover with Spiderman may not happen until 2023 at the earliest. However, when the time comes, it promises to be a hysterical reunion between the two beloved characters.
