Demi Lovato’s Grueling Childhood Schedule Leaves Fan Shocked
Demi Lovato’s recent documentary, Child Star, offers an unfiltered look into the grueling work routines of child actors who have navigated fame from a young age.
During her early career, Demi appeared in various Disney Channel productions including Camp Rock, Camp Rock 2, Princess Protection Program, and Sonny with a Chance.
In her documentary, she interviews fellow child actors who also experienced the pressures of stardom, with a particular segment of Demi reflecting on their challenging schedules going viral online.
Demi explains: “It was back-to-back-to-back-to-back. Nobody really knew how to stop the machine. The train just kept moving. Like, there were never any pauses.”
The documentary includes another moment where a teenage Demi recalls that she’d been ‘touring every day since June 1st’, questioning: “Is it the 5th of September? It could be the 5th of September today. I don’t know.”
As this clip gained traction on social media, viewers expressed their astonishment regarding the arduous schedule of the young star.
One viewer remarked: ”I hope people truly understand how insane this is, as most adults wouldn’t even be able to handle this relentless schedule of creating and performing… and she was a child still growing and developing mentally at that time. It’s crazy.”
Another added: “And then all the photo shoots, interviews, red carpets, music video productions, meetings, everything in between.”
Observers also noted that Selena Gomez and Miley Cyrus likely faced similarly demanding schedules during that era.
Miley highlighted her intense schedule while advertising her single ‘Used To Be Young’, mentioning that her day would start at 5:30 AM with hair and makeup, followed by continuous interviews and meetings, all while filming for Hannah Montana.
Although Miley is not featured in Demi’s documentary, she did engage with other former child actors including Drew Barrymore, Christina Ricci, and JoJo Siwa, among others.
