Demi Lovato Talks About Split With Max Ehrich
Demi Lovato took on the role of host at the E! People’s Choice Awards, delivering an honest and humorous take on her year. Kicking off her monologue, she noted that this year has felt like “the longest three years” of our existence. “Don’t get me wrong, it started out incredible,” she remarked. “I had the opportunity to perform at the GRAMMYs and sing the national anthem during the Super Bowl. But then COVID struck, and everything came to a standstill.”
“So, like many others, I went into lockdown mode and got engaged,” she added, poking fun at her former fiancé, Max Ehrich. “I delved into painting, photography, meditation, and pushed the limits of Postmates unlimited. Also, I discovered that it’s possible to reach the end of Instagram four times.” She then humorously listed the trivial activities that quarantine afforded her, before revealing that she “got unengaged.”
Lovato has also been open about the positive aspects of this year for her. In an interview with Today, she expressed that, despite a significant breakup, she has been managing well. “I believe the most important lesson I’ve learned is how much I appreciate myself and the importance of self-love. It wasn’t until this year that I truly began to uncover the little things that bring joy to my life.”
